Autism Awareness~30 Days of snapshots: Day 17

Earlier this month I made a post about churches and Autism,

and I mentioned how blessed we are to have found a church

that accepts Dak as He is…

That has opened their door, thier arms, and their hearts to my whole family…

Today’s Montage…

when Dak was a year old…

before we ever heard the words “Your son has Autism”…

We Dedicated His life to the Lord….

It has been a long road…

and a hard search for a church family where he would be accepted and loved…

Facepainting…something that a few years ago, he never would have sat through!

To the Bond of Friendship, formed by two Precious, special people…

They will knock you over to hug each other…

A treasured sight…

of a Friendship formed by the example of Patience and love…

to the sheer joy of being included…

to being loved and accepted for WHO he is…

to hunting for Treasure….

Finding a church home that sees past His Disability

that sees the child…

is a treasure indeed…

a Blessing…

to seeing my son actually singing along with worship songs!

Thank you Gateway Baptist for Loving my son with the love of Christ….

it is truly a blessing to this mother’s heart…

to see him included…

loved…

Autism Awareness~30 Days of snapshots: Day 16

There is a Special Group of People in Dak’s life….

They don’t Live close by, or see Him every day…

Yet They love Him just the same…

And He knows it…

and Loves them in return…

To His Aunts and Uncles…

To Playing in the dirt….

To Hugs and Tickles…..

To Giggles and Making Memories…

To Hugs, and meeting a Cousin….

To Special Gifts….

To Heros….

(Dak kept asking Uncle Dave for the keys to the firetruck…LOL)

To a Memory made that will not soon be forgotten….

to making new Friends, and a Trip to the Zoo…

For all that you do…

For going above and beyond…

For All the Prayers, Gifts and Memories…

Hugs, and Laughter..

We say Thank you.
